Comments?

  • The author approaches the issue of spiritual warfare from a Calvinist perspective and, although he does include the importance of holy living and sanctification, he does not articulate how it all works together. Another issue is that, though he stresses Bible verse memorization, he overlooks the necessity for deeper cleansing by the Holy Spirit to bring about a real transformation within the person. Yet, despite these two issues, the book does yield some benefit as it offers prayers that are of value.

Comments?

  • This is probably the best written single volume I have read addressing the deliverance ministry. As advertised, it is specifically written to be a guide for pastors and counselors and comes after many years of the two authors being in the deliverance ministry. One must know what one is doing before engaging in the practice of deliverance and this book does an excellent job covering the need-to-know essentials.

This is a nice introduction for those interested in spiritual warfare without getting too deep. It is perfect for those who do not want a lengthy study of the subject.

Comments?

  • This is a good introductory book for the study of pneumatology.  Though there are some points the author stresses in making his case at the risk of diminishing other elements of the faith, the book serves a useful purpose in encouraging a Spirit-filled life.

  • Call me negative if you want but I do not trust Benny Hinn and I did not like this book at all.

Comments?

  • This book is useful for a beginning student of spiritual warfare. For a more seasoned professional, however, this book is not as useful as it could be. Much of the book is spent in defense of the ministry rather than delving into areas of deeper understanding. There are several good chapters toward the end of the book, but for one more experienced with spiritual warfare there are more profitable volumes from which to draw.

  • A very good book for a basic study of detecting witchcraft in the Church. This does not require a deeper study of spiritual warfare, nor does it ask for the reader to be more spiritually prepared before engaging in the subject. It is simple, yet very effective.
